Since it does no harm to overtwist a short bullet the standard 1-18 22LR twist is just fine.

I played with this idea...

I was trying to get a 10/22 to feed and cycle CBee caps- I lost interest in the project...

The 'old timers' used to shoot shorts from a 1-20" twist- someone specializing in rimfire barrels may be able to accomodate- Lothar Walther, perhaps???

Twist rates can vary for the .22RF from 16" to 20".

Volquartsen has their "Firefly" conversion, for the 10/22 and it works nicely.

The vast majority of 22lr's encountered was, were and are twisted 16"............

(typo on "majority",my bad)
