I have a new Ruger m77 300WM stainless/synthetic (first non-wood gun, jury's out).

It has a Weaver 4.75 GS scope but would like to add Warne QR bases and some iron sights, preferably a front band and appropriate rear sight. Had a scope (old one) fog up on a different rifle two years ago in a rain storm and really wish I could have taken off the scope and used iron sites for the day. Cheap insurance.

Can anyone recommend a robust front/rear sight combo? Just looking for basic sights that could be sweat on, don't want to cut dove tails!

I see on Midway that Ruger makes cast front band sights, might look sharp (?).
