My 45-100 double is almost ready for proofing and starting regulation. Anybody use a laser boresighter for initial setting of the sling block and front sight block/spacer thickness?? The barrels are eyeball boresighted without the spacers about 1" crossing at 50' right now. I am beginning to realise why these suckers cost so much....and I started with a Merkel 12 ga action.

I use one of the LaserLytes (actually the cheap one with Cabelas name on it) that sticks in the muzzle to bore sight and check scope alignment. Can't see any reason it could NOT be used. It put my Merkel 141 within 1" at 50 yds when checked at 15 feet when I installed my scope.
