Will a 20 gauge fit in the Ruger No 1 (or 3) action or is the rim diameter too big?

nominal bore of a 28 ga is .550 .... not sure how much the rim adds... I want to build a 28 bore rifle on a 577/450 steyr martini of rorks drift fame... go big or go home ........ DSC-- Life Member NRA--Life member DRSS--9.3x74 r Chapuis

jimatcat, Seems like the two of us are the only ones that are interested. I take Jim Kobe's comments to mean that it can be done (for enough $ money).

NEGC has already made a few in 20g for the NY slug crowd lots of metal work, very neat and handy between your hands.

I like the idea except for the cost. These guys say they will make a 20. http://www.luxusarms.com/

a 28 ga bore rifle on the old martini-henry is something ive had on the back burner for a long time... octagon bbl, something to use at less than 100 yds, to whack pigs, dangerous water jugs... go big or go home ........ DSC-- Life Member NRA--Life member DRSS--9.3x74 r Chapuis

Any guesses for cost on the NECG guns? Luxus may do 20 gauge someday but they are not currently making them.

Mike the owner of luxus says he has 20 gauge guns being built. I need to call him . I was going to get to get a savage 220 but they seem very rough. http://forums.accuratereloadin...9421043/m/4371073581
