It's listed as the 17 Ackley Hornet.

And though I doubt there are any easily identifiable differences that might be significant, historically they are two different rounds...

The .17 Ackley Hornet was an "improved" (blown out and sharper shouldered) case developed by P.O. Ackley, while the "K" Hornet was an improved Hornet developed by Lyle Kilbourn (SP?).

I'm sure you've heard, but Hornady had come out with a factory version of this concept called the 17 Hornet. Rifles are being made by savage and Ruger, with factory ammo by Hornady. You might want to consider this.

FISH!!

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."
