Can this be done-- i have a Marlin 1895ss with a 22 inch barrel and a 4 shot magezine tube , i wanted to put a full length tube on and maybe get 6 into the tube. Thanks Dave

I'm not a smith, but I can't think of a reason why not. You may have to add support to the front of the tube though. I suggest a dovetail mag support, not a barrel band.

but, is it not conceivable that the existing tube may have a blocking device in it (i.e. such as used in shotguns)?
