Guys,
Anyone rebarrelled a Ruger standard length action to a short action cartridge? Feed okay or were there issues?

Example would be to take a cheap 30/06 action and re-barrel with a fresh 308Win barrel already on hand.

I would get a short follower and put a spacer in the back of the mag box. Same thing that Interarms and later did with the MKX

Wouldn't go wrong to set the barrel back a little and rechamber to 30-06.
