Another Remington Horror Story

Okay-- I was dumb enough to buy another Remington. Please see the link below, this will describe the prior problem I had with my 338 RUM sendero. To make a long story short...; I blew the whole face off my 338's bolt. I initially sent it to a "factory authorized repair shop, this was in response to the moron on the phone (at remington) stating that "they'd be able to take care of everything." After I received the rifle back from them they advised me to send the rifle back to Remington because I had "destroyed the bolt face."
I was dumb enough to send it back to Remington with my perfectly tuned factory trigger (#3lb.) which they decided to replace (and keep) with one the their 8 pound factory triggers. They sent me the rifle back back with a new extractor in place, they attached a $30 COD charge to my rifle when it arrived. I thougtht

that this was an isolated incident, and blamed it on Murphy's law.
SinceI have had a long time affair with Remington rifles I decided to buy another sendero since they were discontinuing the 25-06 SF. Well-- On my 58th round fired out of it I went to extract the round. The bolt pulled back perctly fine but it didn't hold any brass. Another extractor had failed in a low pressure cartridge albeit. I am so fed up with Remington at this time that I have decided to boycott them. I hope that everyone who reads this has read around the fourum and realizes what I failed to, this isn't an isolated incident, Remingtoon has a real quality control problem.

That's cool, it just leaves more deals for me, when everyone else quits buying them. [Wink]

I'm with you MOA. [Wink] My last Sendaro SF was a piece of dodo too. The bolt would bind when you lifted it and the trigger broke at 8lbs also. It's gone now. I'm down to one and it's a keeper.

How did you "blow the whole boltface off..."?
Are you now going to sell the broken .25-'06? Please email me with price, etc. I have an FFL to receive it if we can make a deal.
