There has now been a recall of MAB stainless steel barrels in Australia. I don't know if this is in any way connected with Sako recall.

I don't know a lot about the Sako recall but I doubt one has anything to do with the other.

Unless Sako was silly enough to get their steel
from "Gloria" factory in Tiawan, the only
connection may be the nature of the usual S.S.
used for rifle barrels.
