I have a Mannlicher-Schoenauer that has a German silver front sight. It is much brighter and easier to see than the white or gold (brass) bead front sights available from Marbles and Williams.

I need to put a taller front sight on this gun. Does anyone know where I could find a German silver front sight?

Finding a silver front sight will be easier than finding any sight to fit the M-S dovetail. It is larger than a mauser and smaller than 3/8.

Before you change sights, make sure you fire the rifle offhand, using the original weight of bullet. Use a 6 o'clock hold. That is how the sights were zeroed.

Contact Mark at NECG if you still need a sight.

Dixie Gun Works, will have what you need in the black powder sight section. Might have to machine it a little and file it down.
