Can the model seven with 223 bolt face be converted to 22 hornet size? I want to build a 17 ackley hornet on one of these.

Only by bushing the bolt face and installing a mini-claw extractor.

It's a hundred dollar job.

I assume you'll block the magazine opening with a loading tray? It's tough to make them feed without some kind of lifter or carrier mechanism. The case is just too short and the rim too small to get the correct angle to hit that tiny hole in the back of the barrel without bending a bullet in the case.

Do the MKIV you will love it I had a 17 700 take off rechambered and installed a single shot plate in my model seven havent shot my 17 rem model seven since 1500 - 3800 fps in 18" barrel
