My Santa Barbara Mauser has a stainless barrel, with the whole thing being coated in black baked-on epoxy. This epoxy coating is scratching off far too easy for my tastes.
Well, I'd like to have the stainless barrel installed on a stainless Ruger action. Is this easily done? Are the threads the same? ~~~Suluuq

Rusty the Santa Barbara ( Mauser 98 ) threads are 1.100x12 tpi & the Ruger 77 is 1.00x16 tpi. The Mauser thread shank can be turned down & rethreaded to fit the Ruger.
