On an earlier thread I commented that I had ordered a reamer on April 1st and a followup email assured me that they had my order and the reamer was on its way out the door. This was on April 7th. As of today I have not received my shipment and I notice that the on-line order form has been pulled. Does anyone have any more information on the where-abouts of this company and its "new owners"?

I had a stock order for over five months. On Tuesday of this week I finally got Shawnee herself on the phone and she said the stock was going out that day. She charged my credit card that day also. Before I hung up on my call, I had her go to the back of the warehouse and make sure what the status of my stock was. I had called a couple of weeks earlier and they said the stock was made right hand instead of left, and they would get right to it. For what it's worth, when I described to her the previous call she remembered the stock and said she was pretty sure it was ready except for the grip cap. We will see if it actually was shipped that day. How many times have you heard, " it is in the mail..."? I don't think the business sold.

When I called Shawnie last week wondering when the reamer I ordered April 1 was going to arrive, she said "the court just released the assets and you will have it no later than Friday" That was yesterday, and guess what... no reamer. If they would just play it straight with people rather than making promises they can't keep. I won't deal with them again and they won't get any recommendations either. I will have to try someone else; I'm looking for a 22-250 Ackley Imp 40 deg. Any suggestions?

I just talked with Dave Kiff[Pac. Precision] who makes the reamers and he said Shawnee is trying like hell to ger her life in order after having her husband walk out and leave her holding the bag[of reamers] and tying the whole mess up in the courts/lawyers. I have rented from her in the past and will continue to as she rents good reamers at a fair price. I can understand your[mine too] frustration as we promise our customers a timely job but sometimes there are holdups beyond our control. Sure beats the cost of a new reamer[150-225]which is mostly too much for a one-time chambering. I have been through a nasty divorce[1984] and I sure appreciated the guys who waited until I had my stuff in one sock again. I am sure she`ll come through with my 17 cal reamer and the rest of your stuff soon. Hang in there guys. I really think she`s trying the best she can. [Sure hope I am not disapointed]

Aloha, Mark[in Or]

I don't know about Shawnee Reamer Rentals, but I called reamerrentals.com and placed an order on Friday, April 16. I have yet to hear from them, and my credit card hasn't been billed. I guess they don't want/ need the business.

Let me know what you find out. I am looking for a .303 Epps reamer, gauges, and T handle.

I ordered a .416 Taylor reamer (Reamer Rentals) last aug. My money is gone and I havent seen any reamer yet.........

Shawnee replyed on several mails around x-mas and told me that customs played tricks with my shipment....... I have a strong feeling about Im never gonna se my reamer or money again

Next order for a reamer is going to Dave Kiff!!

Hey gman53 try Kenny Dickerson, 1-912-264-5141,he runs 4D Products Inc. and he has dealt with numerous people who have had problems with Shawnee. He has helped me twice and when I need another reamer you can bet it will come from 4D Products. He's a great guy to deal with and his rental price was lower and I think his use time was a day or two longer.

I spoke to Kenny Dickerson today at 4-D and he was extremely helpful,so I ordered a reamer and gauges from him. He rents Manson or PPG reamers and needless to say, he said his business has really picked up in the last couple of weeks. Hopefully, I will be back at the range in the near future with a "new" 22-250 AI. Thanks for the tip.
