How do you remove the extractor from a Nagant rifle bolt? This nagant will not eject a fired round, and either the extractor is bent or has some dirt under it.

This extractor is one you don't want to pull unless you absolutely have to. And it would be wise to have a spare extractor in hand before attempting it. To remove the extractor you will have to pull the bolt head. The extractor is dovetail installed and comes out through the back.

So do you just tap it out of the dovetail, (hard taps) or what?
