I believe this is a pre-64 Model 70 firing pin but don't know any more specifics that are important like short-action/long-action. It is 7.25 inches long.
Thanks,
Bill

No such thing as a pre 64 Model 70 short action, so it's a pre 64 Model 70; Hornet might be different; not sure.

It is a POST 1985 firing pin.

Note the flat back of the cocking piece.

The flat in the shaft is for the short screw on the top of sleeve.
The pre 64 flat is 90 degrees on the other side as the screw is longer and goes past the side of the shaft.

The single groove for the clip type retainer.

Can not help as to whcih action length as currently I do not have any on hand to measure
