Springfield barrels
Does anybody have a source for barrels for 03 Springfields. I have an old sporter that has a cut down military barrel. I want to replace it with a new one.

Thanks.

I am not sure what you want if it is another military barrel I have two that have been turned and polished both have new bores, two groove. If its a new commercial barrel try Gunparts, Midway, or Brownell.

In addition to what has been mentioned, SARCO may have some for sale.

The rifle has a chopped military barrel now. I want to put a good 24" barrel on it as the start of a nice sporter. Similiar to a Griffen and Howe.

I checked Midway and Brownells. Nothing for a Springfield. A good 4 groove military would work. Anybody know how accurate the 2 groove barrels are?

Then any decent barrelmaker can provide a barrel with the correct threading for a Springfield....... and in any caliber, length, chambering and weight you want.

In my experience with Springfields, the 2 groove barrels are just as accurate as the 4 groove. NOS Springfield barrels turn up on Ebay now and then.
