A friend has an H&K 308 carbine model S-7. Who's base and rings do we uses??

Is the rifle an SL-7? I'm not familiar with an S7 but I've seen several SL-7s along with several other models that use the same mounting system. (I have a customer that collects them.)

The HK mount is a very unique one piece claw type mount the engages the two square holes on top of the receiver. The HK made mounts use a single lever to make it quick detachable. They are also very expensive. Do a google search for "H&K sl-7 scope mount" and you'll find some photos.

I have also seen some Weaver style mounts. I found this link for them, http://www.wayfair.com/Sun-Opt...-SM4300-PJI1009.html . I'm not endorsing this seller as I've never heard of them. But the style of mount looks serviceable and cheaper than the several hundred you'd spend for a genuine HK mount.
