I just picked up a 308 and am having trouble with cases sticking in the chamber. I can see score lines on the cases when I get them out is there a way to safely polish the chamber? Patrick

You need a case fired in that gun, thread end of an old cleaning rod (SKS rod works great), JB's or super-fine lapping compound, drill and tap. Remove the primer and drill out the flash-hole, tap it for the thread of the cleaning rod. Screw the rod into the case and put in a electric drill. Coat the case with compound. Spin the case and slowly work it in and out of the chamber (re-apply compound often) till it will go all the way in. I've used this method on new 'sticky' chambers and old rusted one with great success. Godd luck.
