I took a nap, awakened and realized I could not remember which direction one would tap the spring on a Mauser ejector box to remove same. It looks intuitive, but do not want to do damage with a flawed attempt.

The spring is pushed forward out of the box.

Just take a good look at it. It only can be removed one way.
