Hi All, Had a call from a friend who stated that he couldn't get his bolt to close on his custom 22-250 using factory or reloaded ammo. He further stated that it worked perfectly if he fed them out of the magazine but if he placed one in the chamber directly the bolt would not close. I remember reading something about this but it escapes me at the moment. I am heading over there thursday and thought maybe I could get some info before the trip. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and God bless. cordell | ||

The extractor needs to be modified slightly to allow it to slide up and over the case head. It's not difficult to do but should be done by someone that understands it. Yes.....it can be done with a dremel tool..... One can also destroy the extractor doing it poorly. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." This isn't a Mauser problem, its an operator problem. Always feed Mausers from the magazine; unless the extractor has been altered as Vapodog pionted out. Rusty's Action Works Montross VA.
