Converted subject rifle from 22Hornet to 45/70 and really shoots fine and with other alterations is fine looking carbine. Problem is not a major one, but extraction of the those 45/70 cases w/ .600 rims they hang on the breech block just enough to prevent tossing them out of the chamber. Easy enough to load and pluck out with finger nail, but curious if I relieved the breech block, valley area, just a bit with Dremel(carefully for I don't really like the Dremel for close work)would this create any problems?? Can't imagine it would, but thought I had better "measure twice and cut once." All feedback appreciated. | ||
