Does anyone know if the barrel/receiver threads on the Montana M1999 are the same as the Winchester Model 70? I have a .416 Rem. Mag barrel that I would like to take off of a M1999 and just put it on a long action stainless M70 action. Would it be simple to do so?

Threads are the same, but need to account for the coned breech, and the extractor cut. On the Win they are part of the barrel. The 1999 they are built into the action.

Yes it's cocked, and it has bullets too!!!
