Well, after years of planning and product development, I've launched an E-Business selling rust blue products. Please visit and try my products. I hope you are happy with the results you get. I hand-craft every order so you get the most potent solutions possible. That means less passes to get results. For example, with the Swiss Formula, you can often get a dark black in only 2-3 passes on a Mauser barrel. Thanks in advance, Bob Veasey http://www.rustblue.com/

If you have something people want and communicate to them why yours is a good choice for them you should be fine. I actually have guns I'd like to reblue myself at home but don't have a bath and oven.

The German and American formulas tend to give more of blue tint. However, by polishing to around 400-600 grit you can get more blue, albeit with a few more passes. Bob www.rustblue.com
