This is definitely a rookie question; thanks in advance for your assistance.

Could a .458 WM be rechambered by hand, with a T-handle and reamer to 458 Lott, or is this too much metal to remove with precision?

Thanks,
Todd

Todd,

You can do it, but it is a lot of work.

Dear Todd,

As Saeed said, It can be done but a lot of work. He is truly correct. The last time i did one by hand it took the better part of 3 hrs. On the lathe it takes a fraction of the time. By hand you also risk "ovulating" the chamber by exerting force downward as you are working your way into the bore. Done carefully it can be done though. Good luck and Aloha, Mark[in Ore]
