Im having trouble finding these triggers for my old forester, or any triggers with light trigger pull!
Since you guys seem to know everything about rifles there is to know you probably know this!

Any help would be appreciated!

Ben, I researched Sako triggers just a while ago. There is a *possibility* that Canjar offers a single set trigger for the Sakos - even older models. But just getting in touch with Canjar is like pulling teeth - let alone buying any of their products. I personally gave up.

The best bet I came up with was Timney. Their Sako trigger is not a set trigger, but the manufacturer states it can be safely adjusted down to 1.5 lbs. Not exactly a 2oz target trigger, but in general Timneys are very serviceable and inexpensive if bought through one of the larger mail-order suppliers (I have seen the Sako trigger offered for 50-70$). Don't know if this is what you are looking for?? Btw, it has been my experience in the past, that Timneys are not really "drop-in" triggers. Maybe you are more skilled than I am in "home gunsmithing" (does not take a lot! ), but I found my Timneys best installed by a qualified smith.

OK, now to the really bad news: I believe you can't currently export a trigger from the US without an export permit . Maybe you know somebody at Keflavik who is going back and forth between Iceland and the States regularly??

Many years ago I had the pleasure of using a Canjar Single Set on my original .308. This was a good trigger but the lock time was long waiting for the shoe to fall and trip the sear. It was nicely adjustable, and can't fault it othe otherwise. The best Sako trigger came with the original PPC Varminters. This is a match trigger which was adjustable way down. Any knowledgable "smith" should be able to clean up your trigger and leave you with a crisp and pleasing release.

Thanks for the replys guys!
I gave up on canjar too and as you say Timney is possibly the best bet(the only bet) but i dont see any advantage in them over the factory trigger!
But i might just buy one and see what i can do with it(not exactly a gunsmith either but stubborn as hell) !

I have played a bit with the factory trigger and have got it down to crispy 1 lb and about 1mm travel!
Dont recomend doing this (very frustrating time) and this is under manufacturer limit!

The timney triggers are no improvement over the Sako stock trigger.

Canjar does/did indeed make the single set trigger for the Sakos. I have two of them and they're fantastic.

However Canjar has gone to shit in the customer service and quality depts.

I wouldn't buy anything from them at this point.
