I am looking for a lightweight stock for my mountain rifle build, and keep coming back to a choice between Brown Precision and Lone Wolf. Anyone have any opinions on which to choose? Or if they should be avoided altogether? They are of equal weight, but the Brown is quite a bit more expensive. I apologize if this has been asked and answered before, but I can't for the life of me setup the search function to return anything useful.

I have built light rifles using several stocks. Of the companies still in business. MPI makes a light stock. But, it requires a lot of work to finish.I've stopped using them. I've used Brown Precision (Not to be confused with HS) and they have an excellent product. On the last two I have used Hightech by Bansner. http://www.bansnersrifle.com/hightech/index.htm. They start at 20oz. They are easy to finish and have held up well. You can get them made with a blind box for no extra cost. I have no experience with Lone Wolf.

I have one Lone Wolf stock (not the Summit or Summit XL) and was pleased with the work. I am planning to try the Summit XL on my Colt Light Rifle one day.
