My mate has a mk 1 steyr pro-hunter, with a pretty flexible(synthetic) foreend. The mk 2 has a better, more rigid foreend, but he would like to stiffen up the one he has. Anyone done this before? We were thinking of just filling it with accraglass, as it"s pretty "skeletal" inside. any thoughts? good shooting | ||

What the boys at Savage Shooters do is: Take a 3/8" square tube just long enough to fit in the forearm. Notch the webbing in the forearm enough to fit the square tube below the barrel channel and epoxy it in place. Alternatively you can use two hollow steel 1/4" tubes and inlet them in parallel to each other and epoxy them in place. The pushrods from a Chevy 350 fit perfectly in the Savage forearm.
