How would you glass bed a CZ 375 H&H?

I have a couple CZ 550 Safaris that I really like. One in 375 and the other in 458. The biggest issue I have with the rifle is that there are visible gaps in the wood to metal fit in the action area on both rifles. How would you go about glass bedding this rifle?

My main area of concern is the recoil lug on the barrel. Should I bed the receiver then bed the lug area? Would it be best to just remove the steel "L" and bed just the lug into the stock? Or should I somehow bed the "L" into the stock?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not exactly following you, but...

if the "L" you refer to is the T-bracket on the barrel recoil lug - slide it in its popper alignment with the hole in the stock and fill the gaps in the slott with clay - that will hold it in place and keep the glass out of the "T" slot when you bed it.

The "T" bracket is the piece in the fore-end I am refering to as the "L".

Then we're talking about the same thing - did my rough instructions make sense?

Basically, fill both sides of the "T" track with clay to hold the "T" nut in the correct alignment with the hole in the stock and keep glass out of the "T" track.
Just pack the clay in and contour it to match the outside of the barrel recoil lug.

This will give you 100% coverage of glass to the front recoil lug, channel and "T" nut when tightened, and still enable you to remove the "T" nut from the "T" track.

I've got one appart in the garage - let me know if you need it and i can snap a photo to better describe what i'm saying.
