Do these come in different diameters? My 98 sporter fires Federal primers fine but won't set off CCIs. The firing pin indentation on the CCIs is noticably shallower than the softer Federals and the pin is protruding about 60 thousandths from the bolt face when released. I noticed the spring binds when I assemble the bolt, the springs outer diameter rubs on the inside of the bolt body. Should I polish the inside of the bolt body or look for a smaller diameter spring, if they are available? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the springs are all the same except for the rate. Replacement springs are available from Brownells or Midway. It may be that the spring you have is not even for a 98, just a quick fix sometime in the past. I don't believe it should be dragging on the inside of the bolt body. http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.as...%20STRIKER%20SPRINGS

When you think springs for any gun, think Wolfe. They have several different 98 springs, three as I remember it. Don't limit your challenges . . . Challenge your limits

Thanks guys, I notice that Brownells has a number of weights for these springs, 19 being the stock. Is there a recommended weight for reliable ingition for all primers. Thanks Again.
