Looking for advice on buying a Green Mountain LR barrel in 25 caliber, cutting off the Mauser shank, threading it to Rem 722 dimensions and then chambering it to a 257 Roberts or 250 Savage. I think that would leave about a 5/8" parallel section. Is that enough for a Roberts/Savage? Just looking for an alternative to a 3 month wait and $300 bill. Thanks | ||

It would depend on the contour. The guys at Green Mountain should be able to tell you. When I was a kid. I had the stick. I had the rock. And I had the mud puddle.
