I don't know where you guys get your blanks from but I just visited Rimrock outside Marysville, CA. Merle has some really nice California English blanks now in addition to Bastogne and Claro. They're wet now but will make really good stocks in a couple of years. Nice dense wood, unlike some Turkish I bought recently that looks nice but isn't very dense.
