Hello,
Have a problem requiring rebarreling. Have very nice FN(Browning action '61)which has crapped out barrel. Need to replace. Have VZ24 which has been rebarreled and NECG sights installed, but unfortunately receiver rails/ways were modified to accept 300Win. Mag and are not correct for will only hold down one rnd.?? Don't have a feeding problem, just won't hold the rounds in the mag, more than one, and 2nd or 3rd jump out.
My thoughts are to install the New 300WM barrel on the Browning action and someday figure out what to do with the spare VZ24 action. The New barrel is fully blued, has the island Express rear, barrel band swivel, barrel band front sight and would hope someone could install and end up without removing the sights and time to 12 o'clock position. (Don't want much do I?) If any of you could advise who would be able to do this sort of "exchange" would appreciate letting me know. Thanks,

martin

Try here. Very good work at reasonable cost.

They have done several barrel jobs for me over the last 25 years.

What caliber is the Browning?

As for the problem with your VZ, have you tried diferent follower/spring combinations? You may be surprised to find that say a Winchester model 70 follower will solve the problem, or a slight modification to the follower you have.

Fitting the VZ barrel to the Browning should not be a problem at all if that's the way you want to go as long as the magazine box is long enough.

Thanks for the feedback. I did purchase magnum follower and others as well, but to no avail. I think the rails have been messed up permitting the left side to release the round.
It will only hold 2 rounds and barely caputures the second round when cycling the bolt. I don't expect more than a three round capacity, but two only just does not seem to set well with me.
