More of a point man myself (matches my head) but the workmanship is amazing.

I have to agree with that. I especially like what looks to my untrained eye to be different LPI density in various parts of the pattern. Outstanding!

Fleur de lis checkering has to be done righter than right to look even half way right.

That looks pretty right to me. thumb

This is some of Duane Wiebe's work. Duane sent me the photo and I thought some of you guys would be interested.

I'd be curious how time it would take to do this work. I'll guess 45 hours to do this and a matching pattern on the grip. Hopefully Duane will see this post and chime in with an answer.

Forrest, I am quite sure I could complete this 45 minutes or less. Send $5K to my associate Mr. Hsu and I will demonstrate...

Well....If Iknew this was going to be posted, I'd have a litle more careful about photography. This is mostly a restocking of a Browning Olympian grade. The owner has comissioned a few guys to make a statement on custom work and plans to donate it all, perhaps to the Cody WY museum. The checkering is a combo of English flat top at about 20 LPI and traditional at 26 LPI...don't know if this is original, but I've never seen the combo before. The grip is done, and when it's looking spiffy, I'll post it ...takes a couple coats of oil to really make it sparkle. Time involved for fore end and grip is 24 hrs. The flat top goes pretty fast as long as there are NO SLIPS...one slip and you slash your wrists

Very, very nice. I see that your reputation is well deserved, Mr. Wiebe.
