How does everybody feel about fire lapping a rifle bore?

If the barrel is that big a POS, than sure you might as well try the "fire scrap" crap before turning it into a tomato stake.

I consider any type of lapping (except that done by the manufacturer) to be a last-resort exercise when all else has failed. At that point what have you got to lose?
