| A-Bolt Hunter or Medallion both have wood stocks. It may be cheaper and faster to get a semi-inlet and finish it yourself. I don't see any of these used.

| You will need to find a stock made for the magnum calibers. Stock for 30/06 size (i.e.) is different.

| Midwest Gunworks is the go-to place for factory replacement Browning stocks. Midwest

| I have a Browning A-Bolt in .338 with the factory synthetic stock. I installed a Pachmayr Decelerator on mine and it made a world of difference. Next time I'm going to try a Limbsaver pad. I think the Limbsaver does even a better job of reducing the recoil. From my experience, a synthetic stock does a better job of absorbing recoil than wood. I would add weight to the rear of the stock before I would switch to wood or better yet go with a good synthetic stock such as a McMillan. |
