I am having a stainless barrel turned for my M70 and want to use the Dakota #3 contour. The only problem is that I dont know the contour dimensions. If anyone has them I would sure appreciate getting them from you.

It is a dimension that could vary based on who is the barrel vendor for them at any given time. I know this very thing gives the stock shop fits.

The Dakota #3 contour in my opinion is a very nice contour for a 300 WM. It just looks right to me. I did contact Dakota and they will not share that information and niether will Krieger who offers their barrels in that contour.

any idea what that #3 contour dakota barrel should weigh??

on edit: if you order a krieger barrel from kreiger shouldn't they be able to make a blank turned to those dimensions or are they acting like they can't do it out of respect for dakota?? I could possibly understand them not giving out dimensions if you where not buying a barrel from them, perhaps your smith could find this out from them??
