Anyone know of a source for a gold stock oval? Galazan has brass & nickel but no gold. A search of Brownells online catalog shows no stock ovals of any kind. Any ideas are welcome.

You could call T B Hagstoz
They are a refiner and supplier of precious metals and jewelry supplys

I used to make up the gold stock ovals that were sold and got the punched out ovals from Hagstoz.
They will be flat of course.
I used to bend them to a curved shape in a simple die, draft the edges slightly and solder the pin onto the back side.

They were 10k gold. I don't recall the exact measurement now, but if you have a size in mind they will tell you what punch out sizes they have that will be close or the same.

Tell them size,, the Karat gold you want (10, 14, 18,etc),,the thickness, the number of ovals (or circles, etc).
They will tell you the price based on the spot price of the gold that day.
Charge it on a card and get the stuff in the mail in a couple days.

I used them for about 50yrs for gold&siver wire and sheet stock.

Just get some gold and hammer one out. Gold is infinitely malleable and meltable, so you can't make a mistake. Use a coin, or one of your wife's earrings.

Come on now Tom. Use the wife's ear rings? May as well use the wedding band. Then again, I could rob graves & extract gold teeth. Got a lantern and a shovel?

Call a Trophy and Award company. They have dozens of oval patterns. A jeweler may be able to do it in gold.
