I am interested in building a custom Ruger
#1 in 6.5x55 Swedish. I am not interested
in fancy stockwork or engraving, but a classic-stocked, accurate, no-nonsense
hunting rifle. Does anyone know of a
competent gunsmith who specializes in the
Ruger #1 who could handle this project who
would charge a fair price? Your help will
be greatly appreciated.

John Lewis, Carolina Precision Rifles, specializes in No. 1's. CPRifles@aol.com

John is in SC:

1200 Old Jackson Highway
Jackson, SC, 29831
Phone 803-827-2069

John was the backbone of Kenny Jarrett's shop for several years before starting his own shop. A note, John has a No. 1 for personal use, chambered for a 25 cal on the 300 Win mag case. Some data that John sent me has the 100 gr Ballistic Tip at 3850 ft/sec.
