I have a Ruger 10/22 that I have done some work to. I replaced the bolt, charging handle, rod and spring (all Kidd). Put in a target hammer and replaced the hammer spring with a wolf reduced power spring. The Disconnector and sear are power custom and there is a wolf reduced power spring there as well. Put in a Michigan Center Outdoors shim kit to center everything up. The gun was functioning fine with these changes and them the other day it stopped re-cocking the hammer after a round was fired. It kicks out the spent round, loads the next round but fails to cock the hammer. the hammer can be cocked by manually operating the charging handle with or with out the trigger being pulled. I have also tried different ammo (standard and high velocity) and have tried a reduced and extra power recoil spring the came with the Kidd bolt. I am close to returning the gun to stock specs but the thing was working fine. Any ideas on what to try next? Thank you. | ||
