Hello, I need some recommendations on someone that can weld on a butterknife handle I have onto a 1909 Argentine action. I've seen some services on the web, but nothing of what I'd consider best in class quality on the blending/seam to the bolt body - and any rehardening. Second question is the action has a feeder clip extension on the bolt (see example - not actual action). I don't want to ruin this feature. What is the best rear sight mount to use? I was thinking about a Talley or a complete claw mount setup front and rear. Or the EAW mounts. I want to mount on the front receiver ring and need an extension for the scope due to my length of pull. I also would like to keep the factory safety, so need a high mount. Thanks! Any of the rear scope bases for an unmodified Mauser will allow for an unmodified bolt stop. The rear mount typically stops right at or just short of the clip slot. Warne makes a decent one, as does Leupold. If it does interfere a little, a file and some cold blue will cure that issue. For bolt handle work, DPCD, Jim Kobe, or John Farner (toomanytools) should be able to hook you up. Jeremy

Thanks. I have a warne mount on my 9.3x62 now with the mauser bulb, but it's not very attractive. will try Talley or the EAW mounts. You will need those tall "See Thru" mounts to permit the use of the original safety. PA Bear Hunter, NRA Benefactor
