Big Wonderful Wyomingcz 550 into a Mauser 98 stock?
Can a CZ 550 be inletted into a Mauser 98 stock?

ramrod340Looking at my patterns they are close. starting at the rear screw looks like the majority of wood removal wouldn't show. Bolt notch is different and the bolt stop and release on a Mauser would be an issue. The Mauser could be cut without the notches.

I would be sending off the old stock as an inletting pattern, or just working from a blank. But I'm sort of funny that way.

Another option take the 98 pattern you like as a pattern blank then glass in your CZ using that then to cut your final. All it takes is $$$ and or time.

Big Wonderful WyomingThe stock that fits the CZ550 is perfect.
Our German weather is not. Sabatti (yes the Italian firearms maker) make a stock for Mauser 98s.
It fits me really well, so I figure it is a no-brainer if I can shoe horn a CZ in there then it would be ideal.
Yes it is ugly, Wiebe and Satterlee should look the other way.
