I was wondering if anybody has experienced the recoil pads coming unglued on the Ruger Hawkeye and if so what adhesive would one use to glue it back on

Wow what a poor excuse for a gun nut I am.
I had one and shot it for a while and did not even know it had " recoil pads "

I don't have any experience with the Hawkeye but had the pad come loose on a Rem Sendero SF with HS Precision stock that was originally glued in place. After being brutilized by this rifle (338RUM) I found this loosening of the decellerator pad which, BTW, rendered it useless as far as recoil reduction. The pad had two places marked on the underside that I presumed were for drilling screw holes, so I drilled it out and put two screws in it and voila it worked again.
