gunpartscorp.com sells a long magazine, basic sheet metal, for (used to be) $7.95 or so and it came w/ a 1 or 2 page instruction sheet and diagrams on how to modify a p14 or 1917 for the magnums. i'm almost certain i can take the GI mag box out of the remington one i'm working on now, separate the ends, turn them around and weld back in and have a long box w/ plenty of room.

Ejor,

Get your hands on a copying of Harold MacFarland's "Introduction to Modern Gunsmithing." He does a lot with Enfield rifles in that book.

Try abebooks.com or amazon.com for a used copy. I picked up a used paperback copy of this book on abebooks for $6.48 delivered. I think you'd find this book useful.
