I've Read a lot about the differences (or lack of)between the 222 and 223. especially to do with twist rates and bullet stabilisation..so IF a 222 rifle were to be rechambered to 223 and and fired using the same 55gr bullets and powder as per the 222,what actual difference would it make to accuracy...obviously more powder in the case would drive the bullet faster...but anything else?

222 is supposed to be slightly more inherentley accurate which is why it was used for BR until the ppcs came along. 222 has slightly less powder and longer neck so barrel life will be longer. 222 will have slightly less noise and recoil.222 wont heat up quite as quick.223 will have very slightly more velocity/power/flatter trajectory. Whether there is in enough difference for the average person to notice is a different thing.

The only real solid reason to have a 222 reamed to 223 is if you want to buy the remanufactured ammo instead of reloading or high priced factory boxes of 20.
