What are some options for having a peep/ghost ring sight on a vz-24 action? I would prefer something that is simple like a Williams but I really don't know what my options are with this action.

TXPO,
Ashley Outdoors ghost ring is going on my Yugo 24 in the next week or so. Website is
www.ashleyoutdoors.com see if they have what you want.......I am going with just the rear sight and use a Williams front sight.

Try www.mojosights.com. I have their products on three of my rifles, and like them quite well. Price is right, too.

If you plan on using Weaver scope mounts the N.E.G.C is a very nice option -

You could just put a Williams on...
I have a Williams on my Mauser "Jungle Carbine", a cut down VZ24 with a brazed on M14 flash hider that ends at 16 1/4". The Williams sight works fine and I can see right over the weaver rail that I replaced the traditional rear sight with.

By the way, I'm sure you know this but you can just unscrew the peep for a "ghost ring" effect with the Williams. Since I am left eye dominate and right handed it doesn't do me much good, I have to either close my left eye or shoot from my left shoulder if I want both eyes open.

You can use Talley Ruger style bases and then buy the optional peep site.

A few years ago I bought an 8Mauser with a Lyman ghost ring sight attached. I sold it later, never having shot it. It used the original front sight, of which my eyes don't take-to very well.
On my "new" VZ-24 Scout Rifle (just got done, but not here yet) I had Express Sight Systems (Ashley) ghost ring mounted at the rear, using a Williams front sight.
I've never used any peep, nor ghost ring sights before, but from what I've learned of them here they ought to be more then otay. ~~~Suluuq
