Will a Howa 1500 in 6.5x55 fit into a Weatherby Vanguard Deluxe 30-06 stock?

How about the weatherby Vanguard in 270? I believe these actions are close, but they would have to be the same. Anyone know for sure?

As far as I know the Howa, Vanguard, along with some others like the Smith and Wesson 1500 all use the same action with the vanguard having some minor cosmetic work to make it look a little different.

I think you're right. I have the Vanguard Deluxe in 243 and although it's shorter than the Howa 6.5, they are almost identical in every aspect. I believe this will drop in either the 270 or 06 standard length actions.
