Comb pads?

I want to (cheaply) raise the comb on a 721 stock a bit. I've seen (on hunting shows mostly) some tie on or stick on type pads that can be attached to the comb. Anyone used these? What works? Where do I find these things? TIA.

Brownells, Cabella's, and just about any other place that sells "gun stuff."

You can save some money (if you aren't too particular what it looks like) by just using some leather, felt, neoprene, etc., and some good old duct tape. Your own creativeness and style can make it as pretty or as ugly as you want!

Go to a sporting goods store and take a look at the neoprene elbow and/or knee pads and let your imagination figure out how you can use one to accomplish what you want to do on your rifle.

Now...if you want to spend a bit more and have a slicker looking set up Brownells sells a couple of kits to convert your stock to an adjustable comb...but you have to cut up your stock to install it, so its a "one-way" deal.

I bought some "Cheek Eez" sorbothane pads from Brownells to put on my girlfriend's shotguns and rifles. If you have high cheekbones or a low comb they work great. They come in three thicknesses. If you want a less permanent solution both Blackhawk and Eagle Industries make lace and velcro attached pads covered with a non slip surface. The off side has a little pouch and some shell loops. Some friends have used these in Afghanistan and Iraq and swear by them. The stock number for the Eagle Industries unit is 350001. I have one on my Remington LTR, and have been very happy with it. About $29.95 if memory serves.
