I just picked up another Mark X today. When I got it home and took it apart I found this modified military trigger with a Mark X safety fitted.

has anyone seen or done this before?

As a general rule, people are nuts!

I bought one a while back that had that same setup on it.

I'm thinking that it came from the factory like that on the earlier Mark X's.

Yup, the base model Mk X had that trigger; the adjustable was an option that became standard eventually.

What he said.
The first one I bought years and years ago had that set up from the factory. The second one and all I order from the dealer after had the adjustable.

As usual just my $.02

I have one just like that. Be careful when you disassemble it, as it has some very small parts, and you almost need three hands to put it back together.

Edited to add, Mine is NOT a bad trigger, BTW.
