Although I now own and have owned several CUSTOM
Rifles. I was told by my 'Smith that when U buy a custom rifle U should look at the rifle,worst case, as needing a bbl.
I try 2 figure the action price,the stock. If the rifle is 4 sale why did whoever have it built sell it??
If U can take it and shoot it 2 C if it shoots and that U R comfortable with the stock.
It is better 2 find out this B 4 U buy it then later throwing good money after bad.

What I do in pawn shops is list everything wrong with the gun in one long sentence ending with my offer.

I start at 50% of sticker price.

They only sell for 50% if it was a real long sentence ~ 1/3 the time.

Don't think you will hurt anyone's feelings in a pawn shop by making a low offer. Much higher drama goes on in pawn shops.
