Hello, I want to trim some weight from my 30-06 featherweight classic stainless. I remember the .308 featherweight I almost bought had a plastic follower and I am wondering where I might find a folower in plastic or aluminum, also I am interested in an aluminum trigger guard and floorplate if these were ever available, where could I find these? thanks.

Havn't seen any lightweight followers but trigger guards and floorplates may be available from Brownells.
A good deal of weight can be pared from the existing guard and floorplate. The floorplate is twice the thickness of those on the pre-war M70s and the trigger guard is the same. With some effort they can be made lighter and more attractive. Regards, Bill.

Call USRAC/Winchester. They have the plastic followers which are quite tough and very light. Most, if not all of their new guns have them. I paid $10 for one recently.
